Enhanced Photonic Maxwell's Demon with Correlated Baths

Maxwell's Demon is at the heart of interrelation between quantum information processing and thermodynamics. In this thought experiment, a demon generates temperature gradient two thermal baths initially equilibrium by gaining single-particle level applying classical feed-forward operations, allowing for extraction work. Here we implement photonic version with active in fibre-based system using ultrafast optical switches. We experimentally show that, if correlations exist baths, can generate difference over an order magnitude larger than without correlations, so extract more Our work demonstrates great potential experiments -- which provide unique degree control on to access new regimes
